​Ingram Micro adds Microsoft Azure to Aussie cloud marketplace

Distributor deepens cloud offerings through additional Microsoft features.

Ingram Micro has added Microsoft Azure to its Cloud Marketplace in Australia, as the distributor expands its cloud footprint across the channel.

As a result of the addition, Ingram Micro partners can now offer Azure in a consumption-based, pay-as-you-go pricing model through the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program.

Allowing resellers to fully own the end-customer relationship, the move is designed to allow the channel to manage the end-to-end subscription lifecycle in a bid to ensure greater customer satisfaction, higher renewal margins and top line cloud revenue.

The inclusion of Microsoft Azure now also allows Ingram Micro to offer a hybrid cloud platform that features a combination of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.

Enabling developers to better build, deploy, manage and scale applications, resellers can leverage Azure to help Australian companies eliminate the rising costs associated with in-house IT management.

“We are pleased to differentiate our Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider offering with the addition of Azure to our broad portfolio of cloud solutions,” Ingram Micro general manager of Cloud and Software Services, Lee Welch, said.

“By automating the delivery of Azure and making available the necessary resources and tools for transformation, our reseller partners have the capability to accelerate their Azure CSP business and deliver greater value to their customers.”

Welch said the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace “fully automates” the service delivery, customer management and invoicing of Azure services, allowing resellers to bring the Azure suite to a wider customer base across the country.

In addition, Welch said resellers can also “easily differentiate” offerings by bundling services with Azure and other Microsoft cloud solutions including Office 365 for greater up-sell and cross-sell potential.

The announcement caps a busy few weeks for the global distributor, which recently struck deals with Blue Medora and Addcom in Australia.
