Enosys Solutions has signed a deal to merge with penetration testing company, Hacking Group, enhancing the cyber security provider’s enterprise and Government offerings.
Both companies provide cyber security services to enterprise organisations spanning New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, alongside Enosys’ public sector play across the states.
Enosys is focussed on providing professional services, software licensing, hardware, security and related IT services, while Hacking Group specialises in penetration testing of networks, applications, and wireless technology for enterprise clients.
Terms of the merger will see the addition of 60 new customers, with Hacking Group owner and sales director, Leonie Han, joining Enosys as an account executive for major accounts.
A team of five penetration testers will also join the Enosys team, with the Hacking Group brand set to be folded into the wider business.
Enosys sales director, Joseph Mesiti, told ARN that the agreement was a non-transactional merger with no exchange of funds.
“It was a joining of the two entities and an onboarding of key staff from Hacking Group to Enosys,” he explained.
Enosys’ key vendor partners are Palo Alto Networks, Splunk, Tenable Network Security, F5, Aruba Networks, and VMware, with the company working closely with Arrow ECS from a distribution standpoint.
Mesiti said Enosys is heavily customer focussed as a project services based organisation with a large team of engineers.
“As a seller, my main differentiator with customers is that we will reduce the time to effectiveness with the deployment of best-of-breed technology,” he told ARN.
“Hacking Group brings the pen testing capability but we have always had a heavy engineering capability internally.
“It is about broadening the Enosys portfolio and go to market, and servicing more of our customer’s information and security requirements.”
Mesiti said the merger also enhances the company’s ability to service enterprise and government organisations.
“They [Hacking Group] have a good presence in both local and state Government across the eastern seaboard,” he added.
“There is also good coverage in enterprise from 200 to 3000 seats.”
While penetration testing didn’t suit every customer, Mesiti said the organisation must have a desire to conduct such tests, which are more prevalent in organisations with a mission critical web application.
Enosys was awarded the Palo Alto Networks Partner of the Year for the vendor’s Traps endpoint security platform, following Asia Pacific Partner of the Year and ANZ Partner of the Year wins in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
The Sydney-based company registered 105 per cent growth in 2015 and reached $8.97 million in revenue.
