Warcraft III fans have less than a day to sign up for Beta testing of Vivendi Universal Publishing’s expansion pack: The Frozen Throne.
The title topped Inform’s PC sales charts with the highest value sales for 2002.
Managing director of Vivendi Universal Australia, Pascal Brochier, said gamers had until February 21 to sign up to be part of the Beta test.
Only 10,000 players worldwide will be chose to test the expansion pack that is due out in Australia mid-year. Applicants must be at least 13, with broadband access to download 100 MB of data, a valid email address and a valid Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos CD-Key to be eligible to enter.
“The Warcraft franchise is just massive,” Brochier told ARN. “It has a lot to do with the multiplayer factor.
"It’s a key feature of the product and at the moment only the PC delivers strong multiplayer action. Then there’s the install base of PCs and the Internet access.”
