SDN-based elastic interconnection provider, Megaport Limited (ASX:MP1), has appointed Haidee Van Ruth as chief financial officer. Van Ruth joins the company as Vincent English moves to a full-time chief operating officer role.
Van Ruth will be responsible for managing the finance team at Megaport and will report directly to CEO, Denver Maddux.
Vincent English previously held dual roles as chief financial officer and chief operations officer and will now fully transition to the chief operations officer role.
The appointment was made following the company's FY16 full year results announcement and global update. This includes reported growth of recurring revenue by 80 per cent since the beginning of the fiscal year and a $21 million loss.
“Haidee’s depth of experience and tremendous work ethic perfectly underpin her ability to help me drive Megaport to our financial goals," Maddux said.
“I know that these skills, as well as her leadership abilities, are a great addition to the Megaport team and culture. I’m really looking forward to her contributions to further grow the capabilities of the company.”
Van Ruth has nearly 20 years of experience in commercial finance roles and joins the company from baker, Wild Breads where she was the company's chief financial officer.
Van Ruth will also continue to hold the position of non-executive director at Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation.
“I am very pleased to join Megaport during the onset of a new growth phase following a great track record in achieving set milestones,” Van Ruth said. “I aim to use my broad experience to help the team identify new opportunities to achieve success and exceed shareholders expectations.”
