Insight Enterprises is ramping up its Asia Pacific capabilities with the acquisition of Australian business technology consulting and managed services provider, Ignia.

Ignia, which is based in Perth with a secondary office in Melbourne, specialises in digital transformation, delivering solutions for organisational agility, productivity, and competitive performance.

The company, which was ranked 43 in last year’s Deloitte Technology’s Fast 50 Awards, provides end-to-end services in a number of industry verticals, including the resources sector, utilities, healthcare, education, and government.

According to Insight Asia Pacific senior vice president and managing director, Andrea Della Mattea, the acquisition expands the services and solutions company’s expertise and capabilities in digital transformation, including user experience, mobility, business analytics and Internet of Things (IoT).

“Ignia's award-winning work drives enterprise agility and platform innovation, enabling clients to transform the way they gain competitive advantage and collaborate with their customers and partners in an increasingly digital world,” said Della Mattea.

“We are excited to welcome Ignia into our organisation.”

For Insight Asia Pacific, general manager of services, Pat Murphy, the deal represents a strategic investment for Insight Enterprises, which will help both companies expand their offerings by “leveraging each other’s skills and differentiators”.

"We are uniquely positioned to provide modern solutions to our clients that will drive business outcomes and enable businesses to run smarter," he added.

"We are proud to launch Ignia, an Insight company."

Phil Rickson, Ignia CEO, said he expected that the agreement with Insight Enterprises will see Ignia accelerate its growth and let the company take its services and solutions to the broader Asia Pacific and global markets.

Insight expects to maintain and leverage the Ignia brand for the immediate future, and retain the company's current workforce, which stands at around 80 - most of whom are located in its Perth office.
