Queensland-headquartered inTechnology Distribution has signed an exclusive agreement to distribute 7signal Wi-Fi offerings and solutions, spanning the Asia-Pacific region.

Based in Helsinki, Finland, 7signal develops cloud-based Wi-Fi performance management software, enabling enterprise and service providers to manage the Wi-Fi user experience on their networks, against Wi-Fi performance Service Level Agreements.

“With the growing ubiquity of Wi-Fi, reliance on high performance Wi-Fi has become mission-critical for many organisations,” inTechnology Distribution CEO, Mark Winter, said.

In short, Winter said the partnership will essentially allow channel and MSPs to “take the guess work” out of WLAN performance management.

“While existing solutions indicate whether the network is simply up or down, 7signal provides support through every stage of the Wi-Fi Performance Cycle by actively measuring, analysing and optimising Wi-Fi networks on a continual basis, providing optimal performance, all the time,” he explained.

“As the Wi-Fi environment changes over time, the system tells IT operations when and where they begin to have network problems or client/user problems.

"This proactive approach to risk mitigation provides ongoing Wi-Fi assurance, which contributes to compliance and users productivity.”

In distributing wireless technology products for 17 years across Australia, InTechnology Chief Channel Officer (CCO), Charlie Creegan, said the agreement creates a “very profitable and attractive opportunity” for partners operating within the Wi-Fi space.

“We will be launching the 7Signal Partner Alliance Program along with the 7CWE certification effective immediately and will be rewarding our channel partners for delivering pre and post-sales value added services,” he added.

As well as enhancing the vendor’s global presence, 7signal CEO, Jeff Reedy, said the distribution deal will also help the company broaden its reach into the regional value-added reseller community.
