More than 100 partners from 50 different companies attended the event which included two days of sales and technical content, and a celebration awards evening.

Partners were honoured with awards based on several factors including customer growth, revenue growth, certification, marketing success, overall engagement and support.

Following the launch of its converged infrastructure business with Cisco known as SmartStack, the vendor introduced the inaugural SmartStack Partner of the Year which was awarded to Telstra in recognition for their investment into the joint solution, technical capabilities and customer acquisition.

Nimble Storage director of channel sales Asia Pacific, Theo Hourmouzis, said, the company’s Australian business has continued to deliver triple digit growth year over year and partners were integral to this growth.

“At the same time, we have continued our success with rapid customer acquisition while driving repeat business and maintaining high customer satisfaction,” he said.

“Our aim is to continue to build a world class channel program that focuses on the success and profitability of our partners to drive dramatic growth and increase customer satisfaction.”

The vendor has also added more technology partners in the last year including the introduction of SmartStack Cisco validated designs and engineering integration improvements with Veeam which extended integration between the two solutions.

In early 2016 the vendor also productised SmartStack as a private Cloud offering within Telstra to assist Telstra and Nimble ecosystem partners with simple solution design and procurement.

"In the year ahead, we very much look forward to maintaining a 100 per cent channel business and introducing new programs to support the growth of our Australian and New Zealand partners,” Hourmouzis added.

As reported by sister publication Reseller News, the New Zealand partner of the year award was awarded to Origin IT.
