Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) has added a new distributor to its channel in Australia. Effective immediately, Bluechip Infotech will be distributing its full range of ALE business communication products and services to its partners and customers in Australia.
The announcement follows the launch of ALE’s new consumption based offering in Australia, whereby the company works with its partners to deliver network and communication technology to customers with consumption-based billing models while sharing the risk accordingly.
Bluechip Infotech will form a crucial component on that strategy into the future and joins ALE's other local distributors, VExpress and Integrated Products.
Bluechip Infotech director of enterprise, Phil Lancaster, said adding ALE’s communications and networking solutions expands Bluechip’s portfolio, enabling its partners to offer new consumption-based pricing models such as Alcatel-Lucent Network-on-Demand and Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud in the near future.
He added that it expands its offer for managed service providers.

ALE channel sales director, Chris Downes, said the new partnership will enable the company with a better reach across the market, especially within the midmarket and SMB space.
