IT outsourcing service provider KAZ Group has partnered with Hong Kong-based Tradelink Electronic Commerce to form a new company.
KAZ HK will offer the complete range of KAZ services and double up as a regional headquarters for KAZ Group in Northern Asia and Greater China.
Managing director of KAZ HK, Timothy Murphy, said the advanced infrastructure in Hong Kong made it an attractive location for companies looking to consolidate Asian IT operations.
“With more and more companies and government departments focusing on improving efficiency, there is growing interest in the fully serviced outsourcing model," he said. "Hong Kong also offers a stable business environment.”
Invest Hong Kong’s associate director-general of investment promotion, John Rutherford, said: “This investment demonstrates the growing importance of Hong Kong as a regional services hub for the IT industry.
"The KAZ Group’s experience and expertise will provide an additional boost to Hong Kong’s IT sector, while helping Tradelink extend its commercial reach beyond its home market.”
Invest Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region government department tasked with attracting foreign investment. It assisted the KAZ Group in moving into Hong Kong.
