Ben Goodman has returned to familiar ground after taking up a new role at his former employer EMC.
Goodman rejoined the Dell subsidiary in July 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile, after a little over a year at flash storage vendor, Pure Storage as its head of channels in Asia-Pacific.
In his new role, Goodman will head up the company’s Isilon division from his base in Singapore.
In a statement provided to ARN, EMC confirmed Goodman's appointment and welcomed him back to the company.
Isilon is a scale out network-attached storage platform for high-volume storage, backup and archiving of unstructured data - it provides a cluster-based storage array running on industry standard hardware.
Goodman was a long time employee of the storage giant, having worked for the vendor in various capacities since 2003.
Goodman's 16 month stint at Pure Storage is the only time he has not been at EMC in the last 13 years.
ARN reached out to Goodman for comment but he had not responded at time of publication.
