Chairman of ASX-listed BIgAir Group, Paul Tyler, will be retiring at the end of July and Vivian Stewart will step in as his replacement.
Tyler has held the chairman spot since September 2008 and he said it was time for him to move on to new challenges.
In 2011, Tyler was appointed to lead the Asia Pacific business for Nokia Siemens Networks.
“Despite Paul’s demanding leadership duties as head of Nokia’s Networks Business in Asia Pacific, he was able to add value to management and the Board consistently,” Stewart said.
“He has been instrumental in supporting the executive team to strengthen the positive culture of the company.”
Since 2008, BigAir has acquired a number of companies that have helped to established its presence in markets such as community broadband and Cloud managed services.
These acquisitions include companies such as Oriel Technologies, Intelligent IP Communications, Applaud IT, Clever Communications, Access Plus, Star-Tech Communications and Wizz Communications.
Stewart has been a BigAir director since June 2008 and is also the chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
