IT services company Professional Advantage has been accredited as a Microsoft Gold partner for its work in the area of Business Intelligence systems.
The reseller becomes one of eight Australian companies with Gold certification in this area of expertise.
Manager of the Business Intelligence division of Professional Advantage, Mark Miller, said the accreditation was recognition of the reseller’s work in promoting BI implementations built around SQL server and other Microsoft technologies.
“From our standpoint, it strengthens the vendor relationship,” Miller said. “We become one of those companies among the five per cent of Microsoft’s total partners that are Gold certified.”
Gold certification offers a reseller such spoils as the support of an assigned account manager, some free software licenses to demonstrate Microsoft solutions to customers and access to early Microsoft announcements bound by non-disclosure agreements.
Miller said the software giant was also about to release marketing materials to its SQL server customer base in Australia to promote business intelligence solutions. Professional Advantage and its Gold certified peers would be included in this type of promotion.
The Gold certification was a step Professional Advantage was taking in the hope of eventually becoming a Global Partner of the software vendor, he said..
