New company, Lewis Furneaux Consulting, focuses on ICT channel partners

Former Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) channel, SMB, and alliances indirect sales director, Kaaren Lewis, has launched her own channel consultancy following her resignation from the role in February this year.

Lewis is the managing director of the company, named Lewis Furneaux Consulting.

The consultancy specialises in business consulting to the ICT Industry for channel partners and vendors, focusing on three core areas: business consulting and services, marketing services, and event facilitation.

Business consulting and services includes initiatives around innovation, growth and new business; sales and marketing; operational effectiveness and business management systems, including strategy development and implementation; business transformation; and coaching.

Marketing Services include strategy, plans, and tactical execution; effective MDF utilisation; and internal and external communication plans.

Lewis Furneaux Consulting also facilitates executive, management and team meetings, workshops and offsites; incentives; keynote speaking; and event emceeing.

The services provided are all customisable to client requirements.

“Lewis Furneaux Consulting is from the industry, for the ICT industry. I want to focus on the reseller part of the community regardless if they’re MSPs, alliances, traditional resellers or service providers, and help them be successful,” she told ARN.

“Vendors get that if the channel is successful, then so are they. But they may have very limited resources so this consultancy will help them with a new line of business for example and this allows for a catalyst of change.”

Lewis said she decided to embark on this venture after advice and feedback she got from the industry.

“I decided to start my own company and take my 20-plus years of success and experience and apply it to helping partners build their business. With all the large vendors I’ve worked with, the practical side of dealing with channel partners in their businesses adds to the foundation of this venture,” she said.

According to Lewis, the business is differentiated by not only giving advice, but by helping design, build, implement and execute strategies.

“It focuses on the practical and pragmatic services expected by the channel community. There are a lot of large and small consulting businesses in the market but none of them are focused solely on the ICT industry.

“Also, a lot of consultancies only provide one-off advice. The channel needs constant advice on designing, building, implementing and executing strategies and this is one of the differentiators Lewis Furneaux Consulting offers,” she said.

Lewis also said that she will be looking to bring on more staff with business growth.

“The reaction thus far has been very positive. At the moment, I will build it with myself and expertise as I need with different workloads but I will absolutely look to bring other people in that can help drive it at a later date,” she added.
