APC by Schneider Electric and specialist datacentre infrastructure distributor, DPSA, have terminated their distributor agreement in Australia.
A Schneider Electric representative confirmed with ARN that the distributor will, in the coming days, no longer carry APC by Schneider Electric’s solutions.
“Schneider Electric has announced a change affecting one of their APC by Schneider Electric distributor channel partners in Australia. Effective from June 18, DPSA’s agreement as an authorised distributor of APC by Schneider Electric will cease.
“This decision has no bearing on any of APC by Schneider Electric’s other authorised distributor partners in Australia,” the spokesperson said.
This makes Dicker Data, Ingram Micro and Pacific Datacom the channel distributors for APC by Schneider Electric in Australia.
This was followed by the announcement that DPSA CEO, Jacques Tesson, launched his new business venture, called CertaOne.
The new business was launched in an effort to branch out to new markets, as Tesson felt constrained by the DPSA brand being synonymous with a single vendor being APC by Schneider Electric, with which Tesson said it developed a strong reputation for complex solution sales and project management.
In a previous statement, DPSA CEO, Jacques Tesson, said DPSA has worked with APC by Schneider Electric and reseller partners, and collaborating on datacentre projects for more than 15 years.
The company was named 2014 distributor of the year by APC by Schneider Electric last year, and marked the second year in a row DPSA received the accolade, after being named 2013 best distributor at the Schneider Electric IT Channel Awards in Thailand.
Dicker Data recently took home the 2015 Distributor of the Year award at Schneider Electric’s On2016 conference.
