Software provider, Metalogix, has expanded its operations to the Asia-Pacific region with the appointment of a new regional head, Lex Taylor.
Taylor will be based at the company’s new Asia-Pacific regional office in Melbourne and will be responsible for driving revenue and overseeing sales and channel development teams in the region.
Taylor said APAC continues to be one of the world's fastest growing markets and one that actively pursues technology innovation as a means by which to create and maintain a competitive edge.
“For APAC-based organisations seeking the ideal solution for managing and protecting their Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, OneDrive for Business, Exchange and other on-premises and cloud-based content, they will have direct access to the unparalleled solutions offered from Metalogix," he added.
The company said that following Microsoft's recent release of SharePoint 2016, it is seeing expanded interest in its complete suite of solutions.
Metalogix vice-president channel and alliances, Mike Kan, said the company was dedicated to making the necessary investments in staying close to customers and partners.
“We have maintained our focus on developing our most critical asset - our people. Lex's appointment is a reflection on these core Metalogix values. His enviable depth and breadth of experience, combined with a well-known commitment to the channel community, will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence across the APAC region," he added.
Taylor joins Metalogix from DB Results where he was an account director. Before that, he served as director of energy and utilities for Software AG. Taylor has also held senior sales and business development positions with SAS Software, Agentis Solutions/Software, Computer Associates and ANZ Banking Group.
