Managed service finance specialists, S.E. Rentals (SER) has launched its SER Portal that allows managed technology service providers to directly capture excess usage charges, excess service, and sundry sales from clients, via one gross payment.
The SER Portal aims to dramatically alter the relationship between vendor and financier.
The SER Portal makes accounting and administration work much easier for vendors as it also acts as a CRM tool, providing vendors with client details, sales history, maturation dates, and key contacts.
Vendors using the SER Portal are using their own company’s accounting system. They create their own invoice, save it as a pdf, then add the details to the SER Portal and upload the invoice.
SER managing director and owner, Steve Sykes, said MSPs using the SER Portal will be able to avoid compromising their solution to customers.
“These compromises might include two or more bills each month or a lack of billing flexibility. Some find that their account is being managed on a makeshift spreadsheet by their finance partner. Such compromises lead to inefficiencies and lack of control and result in managed service providers operating at a significant disadvantage to those that qualify for a white label solution.
“These disadvantages disappear for clients using the SER Portal,” he said.
The service provider must control the customer interface on any variable billing arrangement. As such, the SER Portal allows vendors to control all aspects of the billing cycle with their customer, and all on one vendor-branded bill.
“We know that ‘control of process’ is essential to vendors. We regard such control as a business necessity regardless of a clients’ turnover or volume.”
