Virtualisation, networking and Cloud company, Citrix, will integrate Webroot’s BrightCloud IP Reputation Service within its’ Citrix NetScaler ADC Platform to detect malicious incoming IPs.
The integration of IP reputation intelligence into the NetScaler platform will allow Citrix customers to correlate IP data with the URL, file and mobile applications up to six degrees of separation to decipher relationships between Internet objects.
Citrix said the integration will also offer its customers the ability to increase capacity on demand.
“The addition of the next-generation threat intelligence provided through Webroot adds another layer of defence against cyber attacks, enhancing both scalability and security,” Citrix director of product management, Marissa Schmidt, said.
Webroot senior director of worldwide alliances, Darren Niller, added, “In an attempt to fool security defences, attackers change hosts and IP addresses multiple times a day. As a result, enterprises struggle to determine which IP addresses are active threats to their organisation.”“Powered by BrightCloud, enterprises using NetScaler can augment their existing security response solution with the Cloud-based Webroot Threat Intelligence Platform to identify potentially dangerous IP traffic.”
