MYOB has signed a distribution agreement with Synnex Australia, with the company becoming the first accounting software vendor to offer products through a distribution Cloud portal.
As a business management solutions provider operating across Australia and New Zealand, terms of the deal will see Synnex distribute MYOB’s traditional desktop software and Cloud-based solutions through the Synnex Cloud automation platform.
“The Synnex MYOB strategic partnership adds an excellent opportunity for our Synnex partners to expand their solutions portfolio in selling MYOB software licenses and Cloud subscriptions,” Synnex Australia and New Zealand CEO, Kee Ong, said.
“MYOB Software and Cloud products will be available through the Synnex Cloud marketplace and enforces our Cloud channel strategy to help our partners in establishing a strong recurring business model and ongoing revenue streams.”
As reported previously by ARN, the Synnex Cloud marketplace for channel partners in Australia already has a growing list of Cloud IaaS and SaaS solutions such as IBM Softlayer, Rackspace, Abbyy, Cirius, Nomadesk, Udocx, Egnyte and BitTitan Cloud enablement and migration services.
With MYOB joining Synnex’s Cloud vendor portfolio, Kee said Synnex is “well positioned” to also offer the same Cloud Vendor Portfolio to its New Zealand operation.
“MYOB is excited to be partnering with Synnex to be the first accounting software vendor to offer our products through a distribution Cloud portal, offering resellers another delivery mechanism of our software to their small business clients,” MYOB National Sales Manager for Retail, Phil Somerfield said.
“With MYOB’s 'home grown' Cloud offerings for Australia and New Zealand there is a natural fit with Synnex’s 'home grown' Cloud marketplace.
“We are really excited about the partnership with Synnex, and the synergies that the two technology companies can offer resellers, and it further solidifies MYOB’s evolving commitment to the retail channel.”
With the recent launch of the Synnex Cloud automation platform, local partners can now order and bundle MYOB software as well as Cloud-based solutions with existing hardware portfolio through one fully integrated Synnex Cloud reseller platform.
“The Synnex, MYOB partnership paves the way for MYOB’s 4,000 developer partners to develop solutions and also make it available on the Synnex Cloud marketplace for other partners to order and provision,” Synnex Australia General Manager of Ecommerce and Cloud services, Michael Tea, said.
“As Synnex Australia developed its own Cloud automation platform we have full flexibility, to ensure we future proof the roadmap for our Cloud vendors and channel partners as we expand our Synnex Cloud platform into the APAC region.”
Tea said MYOB’s network of over 40,000 MYOB advisors coupled with Synnex’s 8,000 channel partners are well positioned to leverage the home grown Cloud solutions and innovation that is coming out of the local Australian operations.
Across both sides of the Tasman, MYOB helps approximately 1.2 million Australian and New Zealand businesses, operating a network of over 40,000 MYOB advisors comprised of accountants, bookkeepers, certified consultants and other professional partners.
