Internet service provider, Broadband Solutions, has taken on 15 new staff as a part of its continued expansion into Cloud-based managed services. The move sees three new staff take on programming positions, while the remainder join the company’s sales and support team.
Ten new staff have already been employed in the company’s Melbourne office, while the five more will join later this month.
Broadband Solutions founder, Sam Bashiry, said the new staff it has brought on board are illustrative of its commitment to continue to provide a high level of service.
“The market in which we operate has changed dramatically in the past five years. As businesses migrate their services to the cloud, they want their ISP to be total solution providers. They want to be able to entrust their supplier with the most important infrastructure of their business.
“We have been providing this kind of service from day one and it is one of the major propellants fuelling our rapid growth over the past five years,” he said.
He added that keeping its sales and support staff in Australia ensures that they continue to receive the best training available.
“By committing to nurture talented, local staff, we are building a workforce that will have the technical ability to help our customers do business better,” he mentioned.
Broadband Solutions’ support of local talent has been widely applauded. Federal Member for Dunkley, Bruce Billson, commended the move during a recent visit to the company’s headquarters. He said the move nurtures Australian talent.
“Real innovation in Australia can only be achieved by supporting and developing Australian staff. We can outsource all we like in the hope of cutting costs, but true innovation comes from staff on the ground.
“The businesses that will continue to do well are those that foster innovation, developing more effective and productive ways of doing business,” Billson added.
