Security company, Palo Alto Networks, has appointed Simon Green as its A/NZ vice-president.

Green will be responsible for driving overall revenue and profitability in A/NZ for the company and will oversee all country and sector operations.

In the new role, Green replaces Armando Dacal, who is now running the company's Service Provider business across Asia-Pacific.

Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Green was the chief operating officer at information technology and services company, Interactive, for almost two years.

He also spent 13 years at NetApp, where he most recently held the role of Asia-Pacific go-to-market vice-president. In this role, he was responsible for growing the business across the region, including driving channel strategy, managing strategic partnerships (especially the NetApp-IBM relationship), and developing the company's emerging products business.

Before this role, he was the area director for South Asia, where he lead NetApp’s strategic direction in the region.

Green also worked at ProVision Technology as its national sales manager for more than three years.
