Telstra customers have been faced with further network outage issues, with some not being able to make phone calls on the mobile network.
The issues came to light at about 12pm on March 22, days after customers were put through outage issues on March 17.
“We’ve received reports from some customers facing difficulties making voice calls on our networks. We’re investing as a priority,” the telco said on its Twitter account.
At the time, the Telstra said the issues were mainly affecting Victoria and Tasmania, with some impact elsewhere, and by 2pm, it said it had resolved the issue, but customers were still experiencing issues from other parts of the country too.
Customers based in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, took to Twitter to tell the telco that they were also experiencing issues with voice calls.
Telstra said it was investigating some residual issues for a ‘small number’ of customers.This is the third time in just over a month that Telstra customers have experienced issues with outages on the network.
In regards to the outage that impacted mobile customers on March 17, Telstra CEO, Andrew Penn, said it was still investigating how the service disruption occurred, but early findings show it had a problem that triggered a significant number of customers to be disconnected from the network, as it was automatically re-connecting, this caused congestion.
To help rectify the problem, Telstra customers were offered another free data day on April 3.
