Ethisphere Institute has recognised Avnet as 2016 World’s Most Ethical Company for the third consecutive year.
To be recognised, means the distributor aligns principle with action, makes trust within its organisation a priority and by doing so, helps to set future industry standards.
Avnet chief executive officer, Rick Hamada, said, “Ethisphere’s recognition reinforces the tremendous work by our team to meet the great responsibilities that come with Avnet’s meaningful role in the broad base of technology markets we serve.”
Avnet chief ethics and compliance officer, Harvey Woodford, said it the recognition for the third time, is an honour for the company’s employees who strive to comply with the law and operate the right way to reduce customers’ and suppliers’ costs and risks.
“Avnet sees trust as the essential element that underlies everything we do in our company. We are committed to operating with the utmost integrity and choosing business partners that share this dedication.”
The World's Most Ethical Company assessment is based upon the Ethisphere Institute's Ethics Quotient (EQ) framework developed over years of research, and vetted and refined by advice from Ethisphere's World's Most Ethical Company Methodology Advisory Panel.
Scores are generated in five key categories: ethics and compliance program, corporate citizenship and responsibility, culture of ethics, governance and leadership, innovation and reputation.
