Online accounting software provider MYOB, has kicked off its MYOB INCITE roadshow in Melbourne.
The roadshow will continue to visit all major capital cities across Australia and New Zealand over the coming weeks.
Chief executive, Tim Reed, opened the launch event by outlining the company’s vision for the profession and MYOB’s new offerings.
These include an online ledger for customers using MYOB Practice Solutions, aiming to allow for a streamlined workflow across multiple clients.
To be launched in Q2 is the MYOB Essentials Connected Ledger, a feature ideal for businesses that don’t need accrual accounting and the new introductory feature for micro businesses and startups, the MYOB Essentials Accounting Starter.
Additionally, the company said partners can now access an online single dashboard view across all of their client’s MYOB Cloud accounting solutions that allows collaboration with clients and the ability to sign off ‘on the go’.
Reed said, “what we have developed is a ground-breaking platform for efficiency to enable our partners and their clients to take advantage of best in market bank feeds, government connections, connected services, and add-ons. Through the MYOB platform, together with MYOB business solutions, we enable clients and accountants to communicate and collaborate more effectively than ever.”
Reed said the adoption of online and mobile technology is having big impacts on the accounting profession in transaction processing, compliance and advisory. He said ‘the connected practice’ is how MYOB sees the profession taking shape.
“It is the guiding light to MYOBs continuing investment in Cloud accounting. It delivers time and efficiency to partners, enabling them to grow their advisory business,” he added.
