ARN is proud to announce that 2016 is our 25th anniversary. We have been serving the IT channel in Australia for a quarter of a century.
Of course, there have been a multitude of changes during that 25 years - within the channel, within the IT industry, with the people and companies which drive the success of the channel.
And for ARN, it has meant a grand expansion in the way we take information to our readers and audiences, the way we work with our marketing partners and the platforms we provide.
The ARN brand now represents the print publication, the website, a realm of digital newsletters and communiques, online directories, a massive event portfolio including the ARN IT Industry Awards, WIICTA, EDGE, and ARN Roundtables. We have created significant influence groups like the ARN Hall of Fame, the WIICTA Alumni, and soon to be Emerging Leaders.
The print publication started as a monthly in 1991 and was called Reseller, morphing to Australian Reseller News in 1996 and then to ARN in 1999.
In 2016, to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are taking ARN to a monthly magazine format. The ARN editorial and production teams have worked hard over the past few months, developing the new content streams, and a very cool new design to make reading ARN more exciting and compelling. We've engaged support from the ARN community to bring more people, interviews and opinion, as well as in-depth features and event coverage.
The first edition is the February issue and the feature is Storage, in particular, the role storage is playing in the Big Data revolution.
We are very excited to write the next chapter of ARN's significant history as the publication of record for the Australian channel. Watch out for the February issue.
