Collaboration and communication company, Polycom, has recognised the efforts of three A/NZ channel businesses at its 2015 Circle of Excellence Awards during its TEAM Polycom 2016 annual partner conference.
The event was held in Nashville, Tennessee.
Optus Business nabbed the A/NZ Circle of Excellence Partner of the Year Achievers award, while Smartpresence won the A/NZ Polycom Asia-Pacific Excellence in Industry award and CommuniCloud the A/NZ Polycom Asia-Pacific Excellence in Innovation award.
According to Polycom, the awards recognise partner companies that excel at incorporating value-added solutions and services. It added that these partners also demonstrate the expertise in implementing Polycom’s solutions, while delivering performance and sales results.
Polycom Asia-Pacific president, Geoff Thomas, said as the modern workplace rapidly goes through a digital and business transformation, customer environments and needs are changing. Thomas said its partners are a critical part of the Polycom family, working with customers every day, to meet their business needs and provide the right solutions.
“Together with our valued partners, we help organisations of all sizes and industries leverage the power of collaboration and build the workplace of the future. We are proud to recognise our top-performing partners that help change the face of collaboration,” he said.
Optus Business products, solutions and ICT vice-president, David Caspari, said winning Polycom’s Australian Partner of the Year award is great recognition of its engagement with key vendor partners such as Polycom to support its collaboration services portfolio.
“Optus has made a significant investment in the collaboration portfolio and our team has achieved the highest Polycom certification level to better service our customers’ growing collaboration requirements,” he added.
According to CommuniCloud managing director, Mark Dover, the gong is also a testament to the hard work and dedication of the company’s engineering team in building its Video-as-a-Service platform.
"We are delighted to receive the Team Polycom 2016 award for excellence in innovation. Being recognised by a company such as Polycom also validates the power of the platform we have taken to market, which is driving the growth of CommuniCloud,” he added.
