The annual Rotary Regatta has raised $140,000 for its 21st year for the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick.

In the 9 years since IT security firm Check Point has been major sponsor of the event it has raised $4 million for various charities with Sydney Children's Hospital the major beneficiary in recent years.

Participants set out from the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia on the afternoon of November 13 in support of a good cause.

A massive storm on the final leg home lifted the adrenaline to new heights for the 51 yachts, 640 guests and crew.

A luxury motor cruiser and a Captain Cook Harbour cruise also took part bringing total numbers to 850 for this year’s event.
