Microsoft launches new features for Office, Skype and Dynamics CRM

Uses Convergence EMEA conference to show off new products

Microsoft has used its Convergence EMEA conference in Barcelona Spain to show off new features of Office 365, Skype for business and Dynamics CRM 2016.

The tech giant unveiled new communications services for Office 365 it said were designed to improve voice, video, and meeting experiences.

They included PSTN calling and Conferencing, Skype Meeting Broadcast and Cloud PBX.

“As we release these new capabilities in Office 365, partners will play an integral role in extending the value of our new services,” Microsoft Office corporate vice-president, Kirk Koenigsbauer, said in a blog post.

Worldwide availability of Microsoft’s customer engagement platform, Dynamics CRM 2016 was another of the announcements made in Barcelona.

Microsoft also launched PowerApps, a new enterprise service that is said to let employees create the apps, connect to business systems securely and share apps with coworkers.
