ASX-listed Empired (ASX:EPD) has landed a $10 million managed services contract with Horizon Power.
The contract is for five years, structured as an initial three year period with a further two-year option.
As part of the deal, Empired will supply a range of managed services covering all of Horizon’s ICT infrastructure assets throughout Western Australia. It includes management of core infrastructure and networks; front line service desk and service management; security and management of workplace services including tablet and mobile devices.
On top of this, it will also provide a range of project services to enhance and develop Horizon’s technology environment.
Horizon’s managing director, Frank Tudor, said it had been driving a major business transformation program across its organization in the past two years. The state-government owned corporation provides power to about 100,000 residents and 10,000 businesses across regional and remote WA.
“We look to this partnership with Empired to assist us in harnessing technology to drive efficiency, productivity and competitive advantage into our organization,” Tudor said.
Empired has been on a contract winning streak lately, raking in more than $95 million in new deals this calendar year. The deal with Horizon follows a recent $12 million managed services contract with Western Power.
