Global software company, Progress and Cloud services provider, Layer 8 Connect, have teamed up to deliver Content Anywhere Cloud, a platform on Cisco Intercloud for marketers to create, develop and automatically deliver dynamic content across multiple platforms.
The company claimed it is the first commercial Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) introduced to the Cisco Intercloud.
Progress claimed that in collaboration with Telerik Platform, Telerik Sitefinity CMS and Telerik Sitefinity DEC, the platform acts as a single digital marketing command centre, providing digital marketers the tools and technology to create and manage content, and deliver that content with apps and websites to any platform or device including mobile, web or desktop.
It said customers can expect analytics, personalisation and additional options to drive experiences throughout the customer lifecycle, from engagement, to purchase, to customer loyalty and retention.
Progress managing director and regional vice president A/NZ, Craig Law, said marketers are under pressure to create interesting, relevant and timely content that engages customers and it must be delivered to any desktop, mobile or wearable device in varying formats simultaneously, which creates delays and complexity.
“Content Anywhere Cloud combines our leading edge digital experience and mobile development platforms with Layer 8 Connect’s world-class experience and capabilities. This enables a secure, cost-efficient way to deploy highly effective, customer-centric marketing programs that can reach customers, anywhere, anytime.”
Layer 8 Connect platform and software services director, Richard Sojka, claimed the partnership brings together two experienced companies to eliminate the headache of hosting a platform internally.
Cisco global service provider Cloud and business services director, Clayton Pyne, said, “Cisco is pleased to support Progress and Layer 8 Connect in delivering the Content Anywhere Cloud to market. With Cisco’s Openstack-based Cloud platform at its core, the Content Anywhere Cloud will have a secure and scalable basis to deliver customer value globally.”
The platform is to launch in Australia in early 2016, then rollout to South East Asia and globally toward the second half of 2016.
