Application performance infrastructure company, Riverbed, has launched SteelFusion 4.2 to support VMware vSphere 6.
Riverbed said the support for Vsphere in SteelFusion 4.2 builds upon the long-standing partnership between the two companies and delivers business agility, information security and application performance to mutual customers across their remote and branch office (ROBO) locations.
According to the company, the Riverbed SteelFusion is a hyper-converged infrastructure that centralises 100 per cent of data and physical servers from remote sites into Datacentres without compromising local performance and availability of applications at ROBO locations.
VMware senior director global technology partner organisation, Howard Hall, claimed the partnership and support from Riverbed provides a powerful platform that can exceed its mutual customers’ business needs.
“With SteelFusion and VMware vSphere 6, branch offices are empowered to increase agility without compromising user productivity.”
Riverbed senior vice president and general manager of SteelHead and SteelFusion, said, “as a longtime VMware partner, our mutual customers can feel confident when a new version of vSphere is released.”
