Managed Cloud service provider, TETRAN, has appointed former Macquarie Telecom general manager, Gavin Kawalsky, as chief operational officer.
TETRAN chief executive, Don Francis, said Kawalsky will play a key role in expanding the company’s services, increasing efficiencies and will drive customer loyalty.
“His appointment is the culmination of a significant investment in talent the new emerging operational service model, as a result of Cloud, will meet the needs and expectations of our growing client base,” Francis said.
Kawalsky was the Macquarie Telecom general manager (hosting operations) for nine months. Prior to that, he served the company as its general manager of complex hosting and outsourcing business for a little over a year. He was in the program manager role in Macquarie Telecom before that. He held on to this role for a year. He was also a program manager for a year.
Prior to Macquarie Telecom, Kawalsky co-founded and led BlueFire Corporation, now a Dimension Data company.
“I was really impressed with many of the key capabilities across TETRAN. I look forward to aligning its capabilities to support business growth and further improve our levels of customer service and innovation,” Kawalsky said.
The Cloud service provider has also announced its recent partnership with the Barangaroo Delivery Authority in deploying a public Wi-Fi network for the new reserve, spanning over six hectares.
TETRAN also recently signed an agreement with The Fred Hollows Foundation that will deliver a Global Service Desk to the charity’s locations across 24 countries in Africa, Asis-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
