Nimble Storage has rewarded the achievements of its highest-performing partners in Australia and New Zealand at its annual partner conference being staged this week at Peppers Resort in Torquay, Victoria.
Partners were honoured with awards based on several factors including customer growth, revenue growth, certification, marketing success, overall engagement and support.
The Nimble Storage Partner of the Year for 2015 was awarded to Sydney headquartered Virtual Consulting Professionals, an end-to-end technology solutions provider specialising in the design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise level solutions for servers, storage, infrastructure and end user computing.
“We are honoured to receive the award,” says Richard Youssef, Director, Virtual Consulting Professionals.
“We have a great relationship with Nimble Storage, they have a great product, are constantly innovating and work with partners at a level not seen in the industry for some time.”
This year’s Rising Star Award went to Brisbane-based IT and cloud service provider, R&G Technologies.

Matt McDonald, Business Development Manager at Cloud Solutions Group took home Most Valuable Player for Sales in recognition of his strong focus and success in building on Cloud Solutions Group’s impressive stable of Nimble Storage customer solutions while Binal Hendawitharana, a Principal Consultant at data centre specialist consulting company, Onel Consulting, was honoured with the Most Valuable Player for Technical support and expertise recognising his notable technical capability around Nimble Storage and alliance vendors.

“This is great recognition as Onel Consulting leads with technical excellence and client relationships.”
Nimble Storage has made major enhancements to its partner program in the last 12 months and reinforced its channel presence thereby assisting partners to offer integrated product solutions and end-to-end services for both mid-size and enterprise organisations.

The Nimble Storage InfoSight cloud management platform, for example, now has a partner component available where each partner can review the storage infrastructure they have deployed for their customers.
For Hourmouzis, this enables partners to periodically provide health check services, or additional services opportunities to further optimise their storage deployment.
In addition, new solutions take Nimble Storage, Cisco UCS and Nexus Switching as the foundation platform, known as SmartStack.
Layered on top of the infrastructure stack are a number of applications such as VMware View, Citrix XenDesktop, Microsoft Business Critical Applications, SAP HANA and Splunk.
“These solutions are pre-validated with configuration guides allowing Nimble Storage partners to reduce the risk and complexity of the sale but also increase their ability to wrap services around the solution deployment,” Hourmouzis adds.
“We now have a reseller network of 120 partners and work with each of these organisations in providing solutions which drive productivity and cost savings while at the same time supporting end user storage refresh programs.”
