Enterprise software company, Zuora, has appointed John Kearney to the role of Asia-Pacific head of sales.
Kearney will be responsible for accelerating Zuora’s presence across the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on business development and revenue growth, as well as reinforcing the company’s position within the subscription economy.
This announcement follows the news earlier this year of Zuora receiving a $US115 million investment to continue its global expansion into new geographies and vertical markets across the Asia-Pacific region, expand its team with sales, engineering and marketing personnel, and fuel continued research and development activities.
Kearney joins Zuora with 20 years’ experience in global and regional sales management for enterprise teams, pre-sales and product strategy.
He was previously Asia-Pacific vice-president of sales and general manager for software company, Replicon. He also previously worked at CA Technologies for ten years in several senior sales roles, most recently as A/NZ sales director. Prior, he worked for SAP in performance consulting.
Zuora CEO, Tien Tzuo, said Kearney’s industry experience in developing, leading and managing teams to perform in a rapidly changing technology ecosystem will be a great asset for Zuora as its Z-Business relationship business management (RBM) platform’s uptake increases.
“Right now, many businesses are pivoting to subscription business models that generate recurring revenue. John joins Zuora at a time when we are on a growth spurt and we’re looking forward to the positive impact which John’s exemplary experience will provide to our customers as they get subscribed for today’s engaged consumers,” he said.
Kearney will be based in the company’s Sydney office.
