ASX-listed IIT services company, UXC Limited (ASX:UXC), has inked a three-year contract with Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy. According to the company, the estimated total value of the contract is in excess of $25 million.
UXC has been providing services to Ausgrid since 2003 and has been awarded a new contract, while the deal Endeavour makes the company a new client.
This news is part of the company’s recent announcement of finalising a number of new strategic contract wins, mostly annuity-based managed services deals that total to more than $100 million. Some of its other new customers include Transpower New Zealand.
This contract award was referred to in UXC’s market announcement on July 28 as the NSW government agency contract.
As per the terms of the Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy contract, it enables UXC to provide service desk and end user computing support services for 7500 users across NSW. The agreement also includes the option of two two-year extensions.
UXC managing director, Cris Nicolli, said this multi-year contract is strategically important for UXC.
"Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy are significant companies in the Australian market and the contract award continues our success in winning the trust of clients over multi-year contracts, adding to our annuity services portfolio," he said.
“It also provides the opportunity to support and extend the business relationship with Ausgrid and Endeavour into the future,” he said.
Nicolli mentioned Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy went through a rigorous procurement process.
“UXC’s ability to meet core requirements around enhanced services, delivery quality and cost reduction through innovative approaches to service delivery, demonstrated our competitiveness to win the contract,” he added.
Transitioning to delivery of services under the new contract has commenced.
