Enterprise innovation drives record Veeam results

“This is very encouraging and this growth is being driven by our VCPs in New Zealand."

Veeam Software has announced 23 per cent increase in total revenue bookings over the same period last year across Australia and New Zealand, according to the company’s Q2 2015 results.

Across the region, the virtualisation specialists have also recruited 421 new local customers during the period, bringing the total number of customers throughout A/NZ to 6,299.

Delving deeper, the total number of ProPartners in A/NZ currently stands at 1,867 while the number of partners on the Veeam Cloud Provider (VCP) program at presents is 802.

“Our VCP program is going from strength to strength, as evident by the transactions year on year with our New Zealand marketing efforts significantly attributing to this growth,” says Don Williams, Vice President A/NZ, Veeam.

According to Williams, in New Zealand specifically, the number of VCP transactions has almost doubled across the country year on year.

“This is very encouraging and this growth is being driven by our VCPs in New Zealand,” he adds.

“Our H1 performance in New Zealand versus last year same period is very positive and goes to show that businesses are realising the importance of enabling an Always-On Business and have chosen Veeam to achieve sustained Availability for their modern data centres.”

Globally speaking, the company announced a 22 per cent increase in total revenue bookings over the same period last year.

In addition, Veeam also reports a 64 per cent year-over-year growth in revenue specifically from enterprise customers, with 70 per cent of Fortune 500 and 48 per cent of the Global 2000 now Veeam customers.

“We continue to see enterprises migrate from legacy backup to modern data centre availability solutions as they begin to realise that backup alone is not enough to meet the expectations of their stakeholders,” adds Ratmir Timashev, CEO, Veeam.

“During the last quarter we saw strong growth in not just our enterprise business, but we also broke the 150,000 barrier in terms of total number of customers, further indicating that businesses of all sizes are tired of legacy backup and are hungry for next generation availability solutions as delivered by Veeam.”
