IBM systems integrator in A/NZ, Certus Solutions, has appointed New Zealand businessman, Trevor Janes, as its new chair. According to the company, Janes’ new role is key to the company’s growth strategy for the next five years.
Janes will be in charge of developing the company to be a leading systems integrator for IBM technology within the region.
Certus Solutions CEO, Brian Allen, said the appointment was a logical step in the organisation¹s growth strategy.
“Trevor is an excellent choice to lead Certus as we enter the next phase of our business. The combination of his exceptional business acumen and instinct for good governance is essential for guiding us through our period of transformation and growth.
“His strong financial background, connections in government and his significant track record with multinational companies sets the foundation for Certus¹ international expansion plans in the future,” he said.
An investment banker and financial analyst by trade, Janes is a fellow of the Institute of Financial Professionals New Zealand, and previously a fellow and past chair of the New Zealand Society of Investment Analysts.
He is also a Member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute (USA), an affiliate of the United Kingdom Society of Investment Professionals and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
He currently holds a number of board positions – including Accident Compensation Corporation, Abano Healthcare, Pulse Energy and ProCare Health. He is also a Member of the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal, the NZ Post Network Access Committee, and the International Development Advisory and Selection Panel for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Janes claimed he intends to use his extensive leadership and planning experience gained across a number of companies and industries in New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom in this role.
