APC by Schneider Electric has launched a new partner program as it aspires to enhance partner development, profitability and support.
APC by Schneider Electric general manager for channel and alliances in Pacific region, Muralee Kanagaratnam, told ARN the new program focuses on four key areas including partner profitability, enablement, support and an overall enhanced partner experience.
“We held our partner summit in early March and did a soft launch of the new program so I could get an understanding of what partners really want from the program, and make it inline with their feedback,” Kanagaratnam said.
“The main tagline we’re using is ‘partnership evolved.’ It’s the framework of what we’re doing and the evolution of the program is inline with the changing dynamic of our market.”
The new program is made up of four tiers including Registered, Select, Premier and Elite.
Partners within the two top tiers - Premier and Elite, will be required to maintain a minimum revenue commitment, specialised sales and technical knowledge and certifications.
Partners also get access to points-based rewards through its APC Rewards Program, opportunity registration and rebates.
“We want to keep it as simplified as possible, focused on the core of what we do and the specialisation aspect in our portfolio,” he said.
Kanagaratnam said some of the feedback from partners was based on accessing more technical training and enablement sessions run by APC, which will be rolled out around the country both from a sales and technical perspective.
The vendor has about 200 active specialisation partners and plans to increase that with the new program at hand, he said.
On top of launching the new program, it has also invested in creating a dedicated support team for its partners.
“We’re heavily focused on the channel right now, which will help us grow in the market,” he said.
