Young IT professionals across the country are once again being given the opportunity to improve their entrepreneurial and international business skills through the EDS Australia program.
The $750,000 scheme, operated in conjunction with the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, will provide travel, tuition and campus accommodation for 14 technology hotshots.
Successful candidates will gain a Graduate Certificate of Management, with units counting towards an MBA or a diploma. In addition to core curriculum topics such as corporate strategy and management, the part-time course offers elective modules such as entrepreneurship, ecommerce and investment decision-making.
“The program gathers together some of the brightest young IT professionals in Australia,” EDS Australia managing director, Don Easter, said. “They’ll come away better equipped to translate ideas into action.”
The scholarship is part of a package of industry development initiatives incorporated into an IT outsourcing agreement between EDS and the Australian Taxation Office.
Applications for 2004 close on October 17.
