Melbourne IT has struck up a new alliance with enterprise Cloud management company, 2nd Watch, to offer Cloud Factory services across A/NZ.
The key offer of the partnership will be Cloud Factory, providing a comprehensive set of services and tools to assess, design and migrate entire datacentres or individual workloads to the Cloud.
2nd Watch provides enterprise workload migration to the Cloud and both companies are AWS Premier Consulting Partners.
“2nd Watch has validated expertise and capabilities around Cloud migration and combined with Melbourne IT’s managed Cloud solutions expertise, will bring significant opportunities for Australian businesses in the Cloud space,” Melbourne IT enterprise services executive general manager, Peter Wright, said.
2nd Watch co-founder and EVP of strategic business development and marketing, Jeff Aden, is in town to launch the partnership.
“We can provide the expertise of our large scale Cloud migrations to Australian customers who are just starting out with wide-spread adoption of Cloud migration services,” Aden said. “This realisation follows conversations which took place over the last year between 2nd Watch and Melbourne IT around the rate of Cloud adoption in A/NZ.”
Online booking software supplier, Booking Boss, has been one of the local companies to sign up to Cloud Factory.
Booking Boss needed to migrate its entire business to a managed Cloud environment however, it faced the common problem of lacking availability of internal resources to drive the migration themselves.
“It is important that our business applications are migrated through a proven and trusted solution, with minimal disruption to our organisation,” Booking Boss CEO, Renee Welsh, said.
