VTech launches rebranded range

Former Telstra manufacturer looks to hone in on NBN roll out

VTech Telecommunications Australia has launched an updated and rebranded range of home phones in a bid to capitalise on the next phase of the NBN roll out.

VTech makes cordless phones and electronic learning products and has previously manufactured handsets under the Telstra brand in Australia.

VTech managing director, Mark Franklin, said consumers were looking for more from their home phones as Australia entered the next phase of the NBN roll out.

"As well as offering entry level handsets at competitive prices, our latest flagship devices provide innovation beyond technology – enabling people to live stream video from their doorbell, connect wirelessly to multiple smartphones or block unwanted calls,” he said.

The updated and rebranded range of VTech home phones boasts more than 15 different models, from retro devices modelled on the classic rotary phones of yesteryear to the ultra-versatile top of the range smart home phones.

Features enhanced Bluetooth MobileConnect (enables you to connect your home phone to smartphones), USB connectivity for powering devices, connect colour a night vision video and audio from your doorbell to your home phone, to see who’s visiting.

It also has Call Guard ti prevents unwanted calls from getting through and Power Fail back-up means you’ll still be able to use your home phone in an emergency, even if the power has dropped out.
