Inference Solutions has appointed former Telstra group manager David Stone to the role of Asia Pacific vice president of sales.
Stone was previously group manager for contact centre solutions sales for Telstra.
His prior experience also includes management of UK-based emergency contact centres, executive management for a leading contact centre outsourcer, and sales Director for iTa (acquired by Nuance).
Inference Solutions chief executive, James Turner, said Stone brought a unique set of skills and experience to the company's APAC operations.
"He has a proven track record in successfully building and leading high performance sales teams, and his focus and expertise in aligning technical solutions with business outcomes is core to the way Inference operates," he said.
"We are excited that he has come on board to head up the APAC sales team and believe that he will be a key component to growing our brand further in the region."
Stone said his driving passion was to deliver the best possible outcome for customers.
“Whether it is assisting organisations to deliver the best customer experience, or ensuring staff are well equipped and suitably challenged."
He believes customer contact automation including self-service and automated outbound messaging have traditionally been far too hard.
"It’s been too expensive and takes too long to deliver," he said.
