Network vendor D-Link has appointed BJE Enterprises to distribute its products in the retail market after Quadtel ended a three-year relationship with the hardware vendor to concentrate on software.
D-Link marketing manager for Australia and New Zealand, Maurice Famularo, said: “Quadtel has changed direction and gone back to its former core business of distributing software into retail. We both decided to part company. That left us with a gap in retail and 95 per cent of what these guys [BJE] do for us will be in that space.”
BJE joins Tech Pacific, Lan 1, BBF, Pacific Data Com, Page Data and Synnex on the D-Link distributor list.
ASX-listed Quadtel also announced last month it was “rekindling” an arrangement with American digital imaging and software developer Arcsoft to republish its titles in Australia. Quadtel CEO Bruce Ind cited “higher margins in republished lines” as the reason behind the move.
