Citrix Systems Asia has appointed Raju Parrab to the position of area vice-president, Australia and New Zealand.
Based at Citrix's regional head office in Sydney, Parrab will be responsible for the company's operations in Australia and New Zealand.
Parrab has worked in a variety of executive level positions in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Most recently, he served as CEO for two technology companies that are subsidiaries of Consolidated Press Holdings.
Before that he spent 14 years at IBM Canada advancing through the marketing, sales, finance, technology and services units before being promoted to various general management positions within the company. He has also worked at Apple Computer Asia Pacific and was managing director of Mabledon Solutions.
Parrab, who is tri-lingual, adding Spanish – from his youth in South America - to English and Bengali, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada. He studied finance and accounting through the University of Toronto and also attended two advanced management programs at Harvard University.
