Avaya has appointed former Cisco vice president, Mike Ansley, to lead the company in Asia Pacific.
Ansley replaces former APAC president, Mike Muller, who is leaving the firm to pursue other opportunities.
Avaya senior vice president sales and president global field operations, Pierre-Paul Allard, described Ansley as a recognised leader in the industry.
“He brings with him more than 20 years of rich experience ranging across executive sales leadership, partner strategy, services, engineering and marketing,” he said.
Ansley said that listening to customers was the key to a company’s success.
“I am very excited to be joining a company with Avaya’s heritage, engagement solution portfolio, market opportunity and vision at this unique time in our industry's history – and to driving growth in the wonderfully vibrant Asia Pacific market,” he said.
The new boss was most recently vice president of business markets at Cisco in Canada.
His responsibilities included managing advanced technologies, verticals, and architecture teams for datacenter and collaboration.
He also held various international senior management positions including worldwide sales strategy, advanced technology marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa and voice technology marketing in that region.
Ansley was previously vice president and general manager for EMEA at 3Com / HC3.
