Rajiv Shah gets nod from the top

BAE Systems Applied Intelligence has appointed Rajiv Shah as its new Australian general manager.

Shah will focus on executing the business’ growth strategy, particularly in the government, financial services, telecommunications and energy sectors.

BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Australia managing director, Kevin Taylor, said Shah’s technical expertise combined with his experience in senior management and leadership, meant he was well placed to support the continued growth of the firm’s Australian business.

“With this appointment, BAE reinforces its on-going commitment and investment in its four key market domains of cyber security, financial crime detection, communications solutions and digital transformation.”

Rajiv started at BAE 1996 as a technical consultant and has held several senior positions with the company across the UK, US and Australia, including heading up the national security business unit, the electronic systems group and working as head of communications for the data and security solutions unit.

Rajiv has been based in Canberra since 2011 and holds a bachelor degree in Physics and a PhD in theoretical physics, both from the University of Cambridge.
