Telecommunications equipment and services company Marconi has won a $3 million migration contract with WA energy giant Woodside.
Marconi will manage the migration of Woodside’s applications to more than 2700 desktops around the world. More than 25 desktop software engineers - using Microsoft Windows Installer-based packages and Active Directory deployment - will work on the project.
Marconi expects the project will take at least six months.
Managing director, Paul Butcher, is confident the organisation is up to the challenge.
“Marconi’s ability to successfully complete large-scale projects on time and within budget is proven in the Australian marketplace and this was instrumental in this agreement with Woodside,” he said.
