Microsoft has launched a new look Web site for its partner community in Australia.
The site at http://www.microsoft.com/australia/partner is designed to have the same look and feel as the revamped newsletter Microsoft sends to 20,000-plus contacts around Australia every fortnight.
“We have always had a Web site in the past, but it has not always met the needs of our complete partner community,” Microsoft Australia channels manager, Kerstin Baxter, said. “It used to be far more weighted toward just resellers, but now it contains a lot more information for our whole partner community whether you are a reseller, a system builder or a certified service provider.”
Baxter said Microsoft hadset up several focus groups among its partner community to establish what information was most vital to the channel. The Web site was designed to prioritise and push forward more of the important data Microsoft partners needed but previously had trouble finding.
“Partners needs are always changing, so we cannot have a Web site that remains static,” she said.
