Dimension Data has joined the Nortel ranks, signing onto the vendor's nPower channel partner program for voice and data products.
The services company will also act as a distributor for Nortel’s Periphonics voice portal solutions – joining 3D Networks, and Unisys in the Australian and New Zealand channel for the product.
In the past 12 months, Nortel has refocused its business strategy towards the channel, launching nPower across the Asia Pacific to equip its partners with the knowledge to implement and support its voice and data technology. The new agreement formalises a long standing relationship between Dimension Data and the vendor.
“We’ve worked with Di Data for a number of years, but having them on board as an nPower partner is a great step,” said Nortel marketing communications manager, Elizabeth Lovett. Dimension Data national solutions director, Dave D’Aprano, said the company chose to sign with Nortel because of its comprehensive product range.
“Our aim is to provide customers with market leading products that are highly available, scalable, secure and capable of delivering genuine and ongoing competitive advantage,” he said.
President for Nortel Networks Australia and New Zealand, Steve Wood, said nPower’s focus on training and support means Dimension Data can more easily meet the demand for skills and products where there is market demand.
“Welcoming Dimension Data to our nPower channel partner program is another important step in our channel strategy,” Wood said.
