Data services company SkyFii has won a contract to provide its wireless network services to the MLC Centre in Sydney’s CBD.
Under the agreement, SkyFii will install and manage Wi-Fi services at the MLC Centre and provide a free, reliable wireless service in all public spaces at the centre.
The agreement also strengthens SkyFii’s relationship with leading Australian property trust, The GPT Group, which jointly owns the MLC Centre with Queensland Investment Corporation.
The company's data analytics services captures, analyses and utilises Big Data to drive customer loyalty and sales.
Its business model is to enter into long term contracts with major retail groups, and other retail outlets and venues, for the provision of its data analytics and content delivery services.
It is hoped these contracts will deliver significant recurring revenue - typically payable monthly, on a per centre (or per retailer or venue) basis over the term of the contract.
The MLC Centre is one of Sydney’s major office tower complexes, and includes a 67-floor office tower and a retail precinct with 55 different outlets.
It also houses the Theatre Royal, which is one of Sydney’s major theatre venues.
SkyFii chief executive, Wayne Arthur, said he looked forward to offering visitors to the MLC Centre an enhanced WiFi user experience via SkyFii’s fast and efficient WiFi service alongside a major potential new source of customers.
"The agreement also sees us further enhance our relationship with The GPT Group," he said.
"We look forward to providing details of further new business contracts and network roll-outs in due course.”
