Macquarie Telecom inks Covata reseller agreement

Distribute Safe Share security product to Federal Government agencies

Macquarie Telecom has signed a reseller agreement with data security firm Covata.

The agreement allows Macquarie to resell Covata’s Safe Share security platform to Federal Government agencies.

Covata said the contract continues its strategy of expanding its market share through telco and managed service provider (MSP) channels.

Covata founder and chief executive, Trent Telford, said selling through the channel made for simple procurement and leveraged existing trust and compliance the customer and MSP have in place.

“Covata has over six years experience providing secure file sharing services to various Australian Government Agencies, and we are thrilled to now be working with Macquarie Telecom.”

The initial term of the agreement is three years, with an option for renewal. Based on a subscription model, the reseller will be charged per user per month for licensing the product.

Macquarie Telecom provides secure hosting and gateway services to the Australian Federal Government.
